HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT IN DURHAM, MAINE
On September 12, 2011 at approximately 5:40pm, Reney Henry was riding his bike along Route 136 in Durham, Maine when a car struck him and left him lying on the side of the road with serious injuries to his eye and leg.
Reney was training for the Dempsey Challenge in October 2011.
We believe someone saw something that day and hope that you will help us find who was responsible for this hit and run. The vehicle would have had damage to the passenger side, the mirror and its pieces were left behind as they sped off.
Reney did ride in the Dempsey Challenge despite his injuries, he has always been one to keep his promises. The Dempsey Challenge is an annual event for him, helping each year to raise money for the Dempsey Center for Cancer, Hope, and Healing in Lewiston, Maine.
We are offering a $10,000. reward for the arrest and conviction of the person who is responsible for this hit and run accident.
We know the vehicle was gray / silver, possibly a Ford Fusion or similar type vehicle. We have a few of the vehicles parts which were left at the scene, (see pictures below).
